Qiqi was a senior Golden Retriever. The photograph that mattered was not the clearest one. It was a quiet afternoon in 2021, when he lay down on the grass to rest.

The grass photo held the moment. Other photographs helped us understand Qiqi's pale senior face, warm golden ears and body, natural-sized dark eyes, and adult proportions.
The small details
Age was not a flaw to correct.
His cream-white face, softer coat, and tired resting posture belonged to this stage of his life. The artwork needed to keep them, not smooth them away.

The final artwork keeps the low viewpoint, the scattered leaves, and the sense of a dog who had simply decided to rest for a while.
